Welcome to Thesis Seminar! We’ll meet as a whole group and individually the first week of the course, Monday-Friday, to complete the following objectives: 1. Review the syllabus, course work schedule, attendance policy, and educational technologies that’ll be used throughout the semester. 2. Schedule one-on-one tutoring schedule for the semester. 3. Discuss how to narrow down a topic. 4. Discuss choosing potential participants for your research. 5. Research advice from Mtra. Saida and Dr. Luis Humberto.

- Review syllabus, workload schedule, and course guidelines (all available in Microsoft Teams).
- Review key platforms used throughout the course: Microsoft Teams and Website.
- Find a writing partner and schedule one-on-one tutoring sessions – Thesis Seminar Writing Partner Tutorship Schedule 2024.
- Enter Microsoft Teams (Thesis Seminar) and rename one of the Word documents in the Thesis papers folder. Add to your Word document anything you want me to look at, which can include the literature review you wrote last semester in Academic Writing.
- Review as a whole group a literature review; students review Unit I – Literature Review on their own.
- Review the following:
- It’s not too soon to begin searching schools, teachers, students, etc. and getting permission – refer to the Informed consent form template in Teams.

- Begin adding information to the Research matrix for thesis seminar.
- Review How to narrow down a problem.
- Review Research paper titles and how they reflect a purpose; consider Unit of analysis.
- Review Narrowing down a researchable topic.
- Review the following:
