About me

I want to transform this online space into an extension of my in-person teaching. As an English language teacher trainer, I strive to empower learners, champion reflective practices and collaboration, facilitate open-minded dialogue, normalize risk-taking for growth, establish routines for success, and prioritize decisions that put my learners’ progress first.

At the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes, I combine my passion for transparent professional learning with my expertise in EFL teacher training. As a full professor and researcher, I leverage my PhD in Instructional and Curricular Leadership and my Master’s in Technology-integrated Instruction and Curriculum to empower future English language educators.

At the heart of my educational philosophy lies the learner’s growth. I aim to equip them with the tools to construct valid arguments, solve real-life problems creatively, and navigate diverse viewpoints with empathy.  Through respectful dialogue and exposure to different perspectives, they learn to resolve cognitive conflicts and build a nuanced understanding of the world. My role is to guide them on a path of independence, culminating in interdependence.  This fosters a learning environment where students are encouraged to take risks, share their journeys, and develop a sense of caring and responsibility for both themselves and others.
